We Believe:
In the verbal inspiration of
the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, that they are a
revelation from God to man, and that they are man's ultimate rule of
faith and action.
Our God is a Trinity in
unity, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God
the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
In the deity of our Lord
Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles,
in His vicarious and atoning death on the cross, in His bodily
resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His
present ministry of intercession for us, and in His personal, future return to
this earth in power and glory to rule over the nations.
In the personality and deity of the Holy
Spirit, that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for
personal salvation, that He performs the miracle of the new birth in an
unbeliever and indwells believers, enabling them to live a godly life.
That man was created in the image of God, but
because of sin, was alienated from God. That the only means of being cleansed from
sin and for alienation to be removed is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ
shed in His atoning sacrificial death at the cross.
In a life of holiness, without which no
man can see the Lord, through sanctification as a definite, yet
progressive, work of grace.
In water baptism by immersion for
believers only, which is a direct commandment of our Lord.
In the Lord's supper and washing of the
saints' feet.
In the bodily resurrection of both the
saved and the lost, they that are saved unto everlasting life and they
that are lost unto everlasting damnation.
